The alert has been issued once again for Android smartphones. For the past few days, WhatsApp is becoming an app quite viral. The name of this app is FlixOnline. It is being claimed that it is a clone app of Netflix and on it you can watch Netflix's global content for free, although the truth of this app is something else.

The claim about FlixOnline is to show the global content of Netflix, but the truth of it is that it is specially designed to spy WhatsApp app. FlixOnline secretly monitors all notifications of WhatsApp and also performs automatic replies several times.


Google has now removed this app from the Play Store, but if you have downloaded it before, you should also delete it immediately. This app has been downloaded by hundreds of people so far.

Cyber security firm Checkpoint first gave information about this app. Checkpoint report says that this app takes various permissions including notifications after being installed in the phone and it appears above all other apps. It also remains at the top of the notification panel.

Once installed in the phone, it reads all the messages on WhatsApp and also automatically messages the hacker. Along with the message sent to the hacker, this app also sends a link, through which the hacker has access to all the information about your phone. Such malware is called "wormable" ie it spreads on its own.
