You can recover it from local storage at any time. This feature is only for Android users. First of all open the file manager in your mobile phone. Now open the WhatsApp folder here. Click on Database here. Explain that all the backup files of WhatsApp are kept in this particular folder.

 Press the file named msgstore.db.crypt12 for a while and edit the name of the folder. Keep the new name msgstore_backup.db.crypt12. This was done because it would not be replaced by the new file. Now name the latest backup file msgstore.db.crypt12. Now go to your Google Drive and delete your WhatsApp backup. Now reinstall whatsapp after uninstalling. On turning on WhatsApp again, it will ask for backup from local storage. After selecting the msgstore.db.crypt12 file here, tap on Restore. Now you will get your message.

Another way to recover the message

There is also another way to recover your WhatsApp chats. This method can be used by both iPhone and Android mobile users. After uninstalling WhatsApp from your smartphone, reinstall it. When you start WhatsApp again, it will ask for backup from Google Drive or iCloud. Restore the backup. Your message will also come back with complete chat.
